    The bananas went brown again.  The go-to solution for over-ripe bananas is to make muffins and banana bread.  But what if there’s no time or inclination to start baking right this minute?  Does that mean you have to toss the bananas?

    Recently, we decided to figure out another way to use up our leftover fruit.

    We mashed the bananas into the compartments of our ice cube shaped, food-freezer tray.  And it preserved our fruit perfectly!  Now we have a small collection of banana cubes to use in baked goods, or yogurt smoothies.  Any recipe that calls for bananas, we can toss in a frozen cube instead!  Or we can use them for other health and household needs.

    No more tossing out old fruit!
