  1. Shaving Cream, Be Nice And Clean.

If you’re looking for a fun indoor or outdoor creative play idea, consider picking up a few canisters of foam shaving cream!  You should be able to easily find containers for under $2 at any box store.  Don’t forget Dollar Tree, if you aren’t picky about the scent, as choice is more limited in that particular store.

Tip:  We use Barbasol Beard Buster with soothing aloe with great success, and our kids have quite sensitive skin.  Obviously, you want to make sure that your child doesn’t eat the shaving cream and that they keep it away from their eyes.

Even if your kiddos don’t typically enjoy messy tactile experiences, like our Bluey, they will most probably find the foamy mountains of shaving cream far too tempting to resist.  It took just a few seconds of contemplation for Bluey to dig right into the fun!

We cleared off our dining room table but for a couple of bowls, plastic spoons, and a few matchbox cars.  Each child had their own canister of shaving cream to use at will.   Halfway through our play, we added in some food coloring for a new layer of fun.

Clean up is a snap.  Just have a large dish towel at the ready.  Use the dry towel to get the shaving cream off your child’s hands and send them on their way.  Then, get a large bowl and wipe the tabletop remains into it.  Throw everything in your sink for a rinse and sponge down your table.

    Have a great time!
