  1. Freeze Ginger!

    October 4, 2013 by admin

IMG_0909You can’t beat the taste of fresh ginger!  We enjoy having ginger around, but dislike how quickly it dries up if you leave it on the counter, or molds if you put it in the fridge.  Since we don’t cook with it every day, we need our ginger to last.

Our solution is simple: pop it in the freezer.  Put a chunk of ginger in a plastic bag, or container, and find it a home in your freezer (we like the door, so the sometimes small roots don’t get lost in the depths).

When you need some ginger, grate it straight from the freezer—no need to let it thaw first!

Does it get easier to add the delectable taste of fresh ginger to your meals?
