Recently, when a co-worker said he had a German exam coming up in school, TRDad was reminded of a past conversation about using podcasting to learn while at work. So he
downloaded a bunch of free German lesson podcasts to play while on the job. The whole staff enjoyed picking up a few extra language lessons, while the coworker actively studying the language got an extra chance to hear it outside of class. When another co-worker said she’d be taking up Norwegian, a few clicks of the mouse were all that was required to add that language to the playlist.
There are numerous topics to choose from besides foreign languages! If you have time in the car, office, or at home when you can listen to background music, just add podcasts to your playlist and get your learn on.
We download our podcasts from iTunes, but they are also available from many other sources on the web. Just search for “German Language” podcasts, or whatever topic you are seeking, and turn some of your radio time into learning time!
